The Best Impreza McRae Limited Edition is a "continuation car" made by Best Engineering and built with meticulous attention to detail, using only those modern improvements that are appropriate and where the FIA Rally Group A regulations allow upgrades, but without distorting the essence of the car itself. The project comprises of 7 Best Impreza McRae Edition cars; one for each of Colin’s World Rally Championship victories at the wheel of an Impreza Group A. The collection will be completed by an 8th car to commemorate the 1995 World Championship title. The objective is the creation of an exclusive series of Subaru Impreza 555 Group A rally cars. These are not replicas but are cars created to faithfully follow the original specifications and characteristics.
